Design
The Bentayga is unmistakable, from its black matrix grille with chrome surround and centre bar, to its powerful haunch. This is a truly fantastic looking SUV, which evokes both luxury and power.
Either side of that famous front grille, you will see crystal-effect LED matrix headlamps. The sides feature further gleaming details, including large, polished chrome wing vents. Sculpted sills are fitted alongside 21” wheels that only add to the car’s undeniable road presence.
You have the option to add the stunning Animated Welcome Lamps by Mulliner, which project a swirling light show onto the ground when you open the door. And as you step into the cabin, you will see treadplates inscribed with the words, ‘Handcrafted in Crewe, England’.
Inside, handcrafted leather upholstery is paired with veneers that can be commissioned in your choice of high-gloss or open-pore woods, or technical finishes. There are options to add contrast stitching, piping and embroidery to bring the interior to life, plus packages such as the Leather Specification for the upper cabin, which sees hide trim applied to the pillars and the roof. It even benefits from instrument display graphics that have been designed to match the car’s character.

Performance
You can order a Bentayga with a 4.0 litre, twin-turbocharged V8 petrol engine which delivers a power output of 550 PS and 770 Nm of torque, enabling the Bentayga to accelerate from 0-60 mph in just 4.4 seconds (0-100 km/h in 4.5 seconds) and on to a top speed of 180 mph (290 km/h). Although it delivers the power of a V8, the engine includes technological advances that make it more efficient. They include a variable displacement system, which enables four of the eight cylinders to shut off automatically when the full power of the engine is not required. The moment you demand more power and put your foot down, they automatically re-engage, unleashing the engine’s full power.
You also have the option of a 3.0 litre hybrid powertrain, which offers reduced emissions and the power to make many urban journeys on electric power only. With a combined system power output of 456 bhp (462 PS), it can accelerate from 0-60mph in 5.1 seconds (0-100 km/h in 5.2 seconds) and reach a top speed of 158 mph (254 km/h).
Technology
With a built-in Wi-Fi hotspot, the Bentayga is completely connected. It includes both Apple CarPlay* and Android Auto**, in both their wired and wireless implementations, so you can integrate your phone in any way that suits you.
Driver assistance systems include Adaptive Cruise Control with Lane Guidance, Predictive Adaptive Cruise Control for when you leave the highway, and Green Traffic Light Prediction.
In the back of the car, the wireless Touchscreen Remote gives passengers easy access to in-cabin features including the seat settings, the sound system and the air conditioning – which includes a new smart monitoring system to continuously filter out pollutants and optimise air quality.
The new My Bentley App Studio gives you a pre-approved collection of apps that can be downloaded and installed on the car’s infotainment system, which means that you don’t need to run your favourite apps from your phone. It also means that the apps will have access to the car’s data, so a navigation app will be able to see your remaining fuel and range, for example.
For remote access to your car, there is the My Bentley smartphone app. It includes useful features like the ability to locate your car if you’ve forgotten where you’ve parked it and alerts if the alarm goes off. It can even be used to park while you’re outside of the vehicle.

Personalisation
There is a choice of seven standard colours, but when you include the colours in the extended range and the Mulliner paint range, there are around 60 colours to choose from. That includes several new finishes, including Gravity Grey, Opalite and a range of satin options. You can choose from wheels up to 22” in size, with the five-spoke 22” wheel now available with a stunning Pale Brodgar Satin painted finish. For an even bolder statement, you can add the Blackline Specification. This package of exterior features includes black replacements for much of the polished chrome detailing that comes with the car as standard. The Styling Specification adds a sleek carbon fibre body kit.
Inside the car, you have even more options. They include Front Seat Comfort Specification and mood lighting, which enables you to choose the colour and intensity of ambience-enhancing LED lights, all around the cabin. Hide colours include the new Gravity Grey, while your options for the veneers include three new piano-painted finishes: Cricket Ball, Imperial Blue and Burnt Oak. There are numerous options for stitching and piping – and for the first time, you can now opt for contrast stitching and hand-cross stitching, together in the same cabin.
You can add Bentley Dynamic Ride, a powerful 48-volt anti-roll system that keeps the cabin level when cornering, without compromising the comfortable ride you expect from a Bentley. If you need to take your Bentayga off-road, we suggest adding the All-Terrain Specification, which includes underfloor protection and four additional driving modes for low-traction surfaces such as ice, snow, mud and sand.
